ABOUT US: Northern France Wildlife Tours Ltd. is run by Roy and Shirley Croucher for all lovers of the countryside and its wildlife. We are here to help you relax and enjoy this beautiful part of France.
Roy has been giving fully illustrated wildlife talks since the mid 60's. He has been the R.S.P.B. local representative and group leader in Leicester from 1969 to 1974 when he joined the Society's staff as Development Officer until 1982. After a number of years working on wildlife projects in Essex he was appointed Senoir Countryside Ranger by Sandwell M.B.C. in the West Midlands. Since the beginning of 2002 he has been Director of Northern France Wildlife Tours Ltd. He has led birdwatching groups on tours of Britain, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. His talks include: THE BIRDS OF MONTENEGRO: Montenegro is situated in the south-west corner of former Yugoslavia near the Albanian border. Raptors and many of the herons are featured in this close look at a most exciting part of wild Europe. MANAGING THE COUNTRYSIDE FOR WILDLIFE: What can be done to improve the British countryside for our wildlife? Based on his 25 years experience in wildlife management, Roy takes you on an in-depth examination of what can be achieved in the various habitats of lowland Britain using traditional methods and modern scientific techniques. THE WILDLIFE OF NORTHERN FRANCE: Roy is familiar with much of the wildlife of Brittany, Normandy and Pays de la Loire. There are some real surprises featured here! Birds include Middle-spotted Woodpecker, Black Woodpecker, Little Bustard and Bluethroat - and all within a few miles of the Channel coast. COST AND AVAILABILITY: Each talk costs £50.00 plus the cost of petrol from Leicester and back at £12.00 per 100 miles. Roy is happy to talk anywhere in mainland Britain during November and December.
